Job Description Team presentation and main goal: As part of the Finance Direction, you will integrate the Financial Data Integrity department which is in charge of the production and the justification of accounts for CIB activities of Natixis.
This department counts about 100 people with a target to be bilocated (40 in Porto and 60 in Paris).
You will join a team of 20 people in Porto.
As a Financial controller, you will be in charge of the certification of financial statements, i.e.
produces, analyses, makes any corrections and validates the accounting results and exposures, as part of the monthly and quarterly closings, of the activities in one area of the CIB (Equity & Commodity, Financing or Fixed Income activities) of a major French banking institution with international dimension.
Perimeter: Within this division, you will be part of the team in charge of monitoring Financing & Global Market (Fixed Income, ALM & Treasury) – APAC scope Your future mission in FDI/Closing controls & certification (loD1.1). Finance accounting Controls: Certification of financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Off-Balance Sheet and identify, substantiate, and explain any discrepancies; Certification of the Accounting P&L through the reconciliation of Economic P&L vs Accounting P&L in monthly and quarterly basis.
Identification and substantiation in detail of any gaps in methodology for financial production activities of the CIB; Investigate the necessity to post accounting/financial adjustment to render the accurately data; Contribute with quarterly closing controls to enhance ensuring the quality of data; Contact with the Market Risk teams (in charge of the controls on economic P&L), the Support departments (middle and back offices), the other Finance departments (Financial Permanent Control (LoD2), Norms, Statutory and Social Accounting); Justification of the accounting standard differences (between French Gaap and IFRS Gaap); Control of internal P&L; Justification of all the accounts of the perimeter under your responsibility.
Analysis & Reporting Task: Produce Audit Trails: Generate detailed audit trails for specific notices to ensure transparency and traceability; Send Syntheses: Compile and send financial syntheses to the APAC local Teams and LoD2, providing a comprehensive overview of financial performance by business line.
Good self-growing and challenge in our area: You will participate in a recent department here in Porto with new challenge to optimize the work, internal procedures; Focus on a good onboarding including financial learning.
French classes; The ability to develop a network within the various teams of the Natixis ecosystem, and an aptitude for collaborative and group work are key factors of success in this position; Study and propose new controls to be implemented or to evolve existing controls: as analyze the needs of final consumers; perform database queries to study the relevance of results; test new controls.
Additional information: Work is carried out at the end of each month according to a shared schedule with other departments of Finance (on quarterly closings, calendars are more squeezed), and in interim periods; You will be part of a bilocalised team with a local manager and a functional manager Paris based: regular interactions with Paris team (daily quick points and weekly team meeting); Support the development of Natixis' internal Finance tools (Matisse accounting tool, eMatch reconciliation tool) and management tools (ie Murex, Summit, UBIX) or repository internal tools. Qualifications Master's Degree from a Business School or University closely related to the Finance industry, with a first professional experience in banking or audit; Prerequisite: knowledge of accounting and ideally bank accounting; Knowledge of CIB products and activities is appreciated; Good knowledge of database management; Require quickly logical thinking to Control the data acquisition & treatment on the financial chain inputs, along the flow, plus Detecting anomalies & analyzing the root causes; Office tools (Excel, powerpoint, power BI…); Financial products (bonds and repos, Forex operations, IRS, CCYIRS, ,,,); Fluent English and Good Level of French (a big plus).
