Senior Accountant - Braga

From Luxe Talent, International Recruitment and Training Consultancy specialized in Fashion, Luxury, Retail and FMCG, we are looking for a Senior Accountant for one of our clients, an international textile company. The position is based in the north of Portugal (Braga district). In our recruitment and training consultancy we work with different firms in the Luxury, Premium and High Premium sectors around Europe and have offices in Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, Milan, Munich, Braga and Amsterdam. JOB DESCRIPTION of the Senior Accountant: Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable; Produce accounting reports and present their results; Analyze financial information and summarize financial status; Spot errors and suggestways to improve efficiency and spending; Provide technical support and advice on Management Accountant; Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures; Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process; Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule; Assist with tax audits and tax returns; Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance; Support- end and- end close process; Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls; Liaise with our Financial Manager and Accounting Manager to improve financial procedures. Professional experience as an accountant (between 8 and 10 years); Excellent knowledge of portuguese accounting regulations and procedures, including generally accepted accounting principles; Experience with generalledger functions and the- end/year-end close process; Practical experience with accounting software; Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, including Vlookups and pivot tables; Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills; Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree; Fluency in English (required).
