You will be the support person for Automation plus Station Level engineering and services based on MicroSCADA and RTU560 product family in diverse engineering projects in our Grid Automation Business Unit in Portugal. Reporting to the PGGA Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of assigned project deliverables on time, within budget and in line with relevant quality and safety guidelines.

Your responsibilities:

Making technical recommendations in the testing, installation and commissioning phases of customer projects.

Providing technical details, costs and deliverables for sales proposals.

Supporting project managers and project lead engineers in technical reviews and discussions with customers, partners, subcontractors and vendors.

Supporting contract managers with claims, customer specifications and safety standards.

Creating and delivering the scope-specific work plan and budget as well as risk assessments as it pertains to your engineering discipline.

Helping customers resolve technical issues both remotely and on domestic customer sites.

Developing your leadership and communication skills by working with entry-level engineers, technicians and support teams.

Providing the cost-effective execution of Automation and protection level project deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule and safety requirements.

Maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction by providing excellent service at all stages of the project.

Your background:

A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field.

More than 2 years of experience in station level control (preferable), working as project and/or commissioning engineer with SCADA (MicroSCADA preferable) and RTU solutions.

Sound knowledge of engineering techniques, processes and tools, including SCADA, RTU, substation protocols such as IEC61850 and communication protocols such as IEC60870-104/101, Modbus, etc.

Current driving license valid in Portugal and work permit in Europe.

Strong commitment to safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines.

A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies.

A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.

Fluency in Portuguese and English (written and spoken).

Willingness to travel nationally working on customer sites.
