Join a team where learning, collaboration, and growth are at the core of everything we do, and where solving big challenges is part of the fun. _____________________________________________________________________ The Role Purpose of the role As the IT Compliance & Governance Manager at Laminar, you will play a pivotal role in managing IT compliance, cybersecurity, risk, and governance initiatives, whilst also ensuring the smooth operation and support across various IT functions. Your primary focus will be on ensuring adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices, particularly in alignment with ISO 27001 accreditation. Additionally, you will be responsible for all Laminar's IT related policy and business rules, and the managing of software & internet contracts, support desk operations, hardware and infrastructure management, and establishing SLAs for user support.
Team In our operations team, we get things done and enable everyone at Laminar to get things done too. Our operations team covers a broad range of areas including, finance, administration, IT, legal, compliance and strategic initiatives. Your leadership and coordination will enable seamless IT operations and support for all departments within Laminar.
Your top 3 objectives 1. Ensure compliance with ISO 27001 standards and regulations.
2. Identify and mitigate IT risks and close policy gaps.
3. Facilitate successful audits.
Your top 5 responsibilities 1. Lead strategic projects: Drive critical initiatives to ensure compliance with ISO 27001 standards, regulations, and audit compliance.
2. General IT Management: Including responsibility for and oversight of software & internet contracts, hardware and infrastructure management.
3. Develop and enforce policies: Create and implement robust IT policies, procedures, and controls for compliance, while also managing SLAs for user support.
4. Collaborate across teams: Align IT efforts with our goals through close collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders, ensuring effective support desk operations and product ownership for core applications.
5. Functional Leadership and promoting culture: Offer leadership on IT governance, risk management, and compliance, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability, while also optimizing tools for support and ensuring efficient tech support across Laminar.
Your Capabilities You will be a proven IT operations leader who knows how to switch between being a project manager, leader, communicator, researcher and doer, to make things better.
As a candidate, who should have:
Must-Have (The fundamentals) - Mastery: Strong understanding of ISO 27001 standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices, along with proficiency in risk management, compliance management, and audit processes. Programme management experience leading information security, cybersecurity, and technology projects is a must.
- Communication: Precise and structured communicator, both written and verbal, in English.
- Leadership: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively, coupled with experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Impact: A track record of making workplaces better beyond just doing the basics.
Nice to Have (If you don't have it now, you will after joining) - Mastery: Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA and knowledge of IT governance frameworks such as COBIT or ITIL is desirable.
- Communication: Precise and structured communicator both written and verbal
- Leadership: A proven leader, coach or developer of teams.
- Impact: A track record of implementing scalable and repeatable solutions in projects and teams that had a significant positive impact on support desk operations, software/tech support, and IT infrastructure management.
