IT IPS SAP Operations operates SAP Environments OnPrem and in hybrid and cloud scenarios to internal customers taking into consideration security rules and governance guidelines.
Therefore, the following competences are expected from the service provider:
Ability to support customers on infrastructure setup in the role of the technical first contact.
Ability to implement tasks like SAP installations, SAP upgrades, tech refreshes (hardware, OS) and further changes in alliance with customers.
Ability to analyze issues in a well-standardized and automated environment.
Willingness to keep the standards and to avoid individual solutions.
Collaborate in a virtual and dynamic environment speaking mostly in English.
Ability to translate business demand and requirements into technical solutions.
Weekend work and on-call should be possible.
First and second level support for all system lines.
Qualifications To deliver the above competences, we consider these relevant skills:
Experience with challenges in a high secure data center, e.g. network architecture and configuration (VPC, subnet, IP ranges, security groups, routing tables, gateways, VPN, etc.).
Knowledge about the standard IT processes in large companies, e.g. ITIL.
Experience with Linux (preferred SLES) and know-how with system, namespaces, cgroups, and SElinux.
SAN, NAS storage, backup/restore.
Well knowledge in SAP HANA, SAP Stack (ABAP/JAVA), SAP Web dispatcher.
Experienced in SAP upgrades, OSDB migration, system copies, cryptographic, certificate handling.
Experience with cloud vendors like AWS or Azure.
We give preference to providers that also demonstrate competences in:
Coding (preferably Ansible and Python).
MS-Office.
HANA Studio/Cockpit, Putty, Sapgui.
It is mandatory to be business-fluent in English language (speaking and writing).
