A Day in the Life Medtronic's Patient Monitoring team strives to empower clinicians with actionable insights and innovative solutions to prevent and treat life-threatening conditions. We focus on critical care areas (Operating Rooms and Intensive Care Units) to continuously help our Customers and their Patients by improving clinical outcomes and reducing costs for hospitals related to Blood Oxygen Management and perioperative complications. Our solutions will enable clinicians to predict, prevent, and treat patients' complications to further reduce costs and improve outcomes. In this exciting role as a Sales Representative, you will play a key role in giving technical and Operating Room support to customers to increase Medtronic Market Share through technical support and training to health professionals on our devices and therapies. You will also oversee the inventory, control, and sanity check of the pool of equipment to ensure fast and proper coverage of our installation base. The working territory is Iberia (Portugal and Galicia), and you will preferably be located in Lisbon or Porto.
Responsibilities may include the following:
Promote and sell Medtronic's products and services within the assigned geographic area and/or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets.
Develop, build, and strengthen long-term relationships with stakeholders, including distributors and healthcare professionals.
Pursue leads, assess needs, and provide product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic's products and/or services.
Promote and establish education on the company's products and/or services.
Conduct market research, including customers and competitors' activities.
Implement market development plans, strategies, and changes as needed.
Communicate customer feedback on new products and/or modifications to existing products or applications to internal stakeholders, including R&D, Operations, and Marketing.
Must Haves:
Degree in Life-Science, Engineering, or other relevant degree.
At least 2 years of selling experience in the medical device industry or High-Tech environment.
At least 2 years' experience in the Surgical field.
Fluency in English and Spanish (reading, conversation, and writing).
Computer literacy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks with a high degree of organization and prioritization skills.
Ability to work within a highly motivated team as well as autonomously, with a minimum of supervision.
Strong negotiation skills & ability to close deals with customers.
Full clean driver license and availability to travel.
Nice to Haves:
Previous measurable theatre sales experience with medical surgical products.
Field sales experience or customer service experience in the Medical Devices industry.
