Overview:
As the Sales Manager, you will drive growth for the Mining division in the Iberia and Middle East regions by managing customer relationships and identifying new sales opportunities. You will collaborate with the sales team to implement strategies, promote the Element brand, and engage in frequent travel to connect with customers and support exhibitions.
Main Responsibilities:
Actively communicate with existing customers to maintain strong relationships;
Oversee sales activities for the Mining division in the Iberia and Middle East regions;
Travel frequently to visit customers, addressing their needs directly and acting as the primary point of contact to ensure prompt responses to inquiries, issues, and requests;
Promote the Element brand through campaigns and participation in exhibitions;
Analyze the market, plan product consumption, and gather data on installed base equipment in alignment with ERP requirements;
Contribute to the annual sales budget preparation, implementing strategies in strategic planning, account management, and business development to meet sales targets and expand market share;
Report sales and customer status in the CRM system, collaborating closely with the sales team;
Coordinate with the Operations department to ensure smooth product delivery and customer satisfaction;
Manage quotations, orders, and sales contracts in cooperation with the order desk and product support teams;
Monitor customer receivables and follow up as needed;
Identify potential sales opportunities and propose strategies to onboard new customers;
Initiate product development efforts based on customer feedback and needs;
Provide regular updates to the Director of Mining, based in Finland.
Qualifications:
At least 3 years of proven success in international B2B sales;
Experience in technical sales, ideally within the mining industry;
A Bachelor's degree in a commercial or technical field, or a related qualification;
A proactive, motivated, and self-driven attitude, with strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills;
Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Spanish; fluency in French is a plus;
Willingness to travel internationally up to 30-40% of the time;
Experience using ERP, CRM, and other essential sales tools, with a willingness to learn;
Knowledge of Incoterms rules and international trade practices;
Previous experience in the mining industry or familiarity with mining processes (preferred).
