Your mission As Sales Engineering Director, you are responsible for turnover and margin for products manufactured in our Portuguese factory. Goal is to grow our factory by developing new products and new business opportunities. You are the link between our customers, Sales and factory. Therefore technical expertise as well as a strong commercial background are key to become successful. You collaborate closely with other European departments as Sales, Marketing and R&D. Understanding of customer requirements is key in order to develop products and to reach the desired business objectives. You will report to VP Operations. Key responsibilities Strategy Develop a growth strategy (products and customers), aligned with overall Europe business goals, and sell the growth strategy to internal stakeholders as Sales / Marketing /R&D / Management. Sales Support our European Sales organization in various ways (fi arrange customer meeting together with sales representative, prepare quotation, prepare product info / samples, prepare sales pitch) in order to sell products manufactured in Portugal, while meeting overall business targets as margin. Build long term relationship with key customers. Development Understand customer and sales/marketing requirements and translate those into products to manufacture cost efficient in Portugal (you are competing with other manufacturing locations). You do this in close collaboration with R&D, Sales, Marketing and Factory. Technical expertise is key to ensure that products meet customer requirements and can be manufactured cost efficiently. Project planning You own, for products manufactured in Portugal, the process from Product design up to and including delivery of products to our customers. Project management is key to meet customer expectation in terms of specifications, timing, quality and costs. Performance Metrics Monitoring budget and track KPIs Your profile Education: Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (Bachelor's degree required). Continuous learning and professional development in relevant areas. Experience: Proven track record in sales engineering or technical sales leadership within the industrial sector with more than 10 years of experience in mass market. Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth, develop sales strategies, and achieve business objectives. Experience in leading and motivating cross-functional teams. Experience in Managing a factory is a pre.
