Sales Engineer – Portugal We are looking for a Sales Engineer to join our team. You will be part of a business environment that is constantly changing. You will be working on keeping and establishing relationships with existing customers, as well as finding new ones. Your area of work will be the north of Portugal, from Porto all the way to the north. General responsibilities: Select opportunities and customers to be targeted. Supervision of field tests / tool tests against competition. Recommending tool selection based on customer requests or test results. Expand existing business. Develop and acquire new business. Work on customer enquiries. Coordinate technical enquiries between sales office and customer. Prepare sales forecasts weekly, territory reports, and expense reports monthly. Support in collection of customers' past due invoices. Outlined responsibilities: Secure delivery dates, place orders for customers, obtain information, provide advice on tool applications, and resolve customer complaints as required. Prepare sales forecasts, territory reports, and expense reports on an as-required basis. Help develop the annual sales plan in conjunction with the supervisor and be accountable for the territory sales plan implementation and achievement. Contact potential and established customers to promote, sell, and service Kennametal products in a designated sales territory. Through customer contact, recommend product utilization, conduct tests and demonstrations at customer locations, and report significant competitor marketing and sales activity. Requirements: Preferably reside in the north of Portugal or within a 1-hour driving distance. Good knowledge and practical experience of metal cutting processes (turning, milling, hole making). Field sales experience in metal cutting tools. Familiarity with computer utilization. "Hunter" profile, able to develop existing customers and find new ones. Ability to interact with key accounts, distributors, and smaller companies. Good communication skills (both within Kennametal and with customers).
