About the role
For the Ruby on Rails Developer position, we are looking for a seasoned professional driven by delivering impactful outcomes for stakeholders and contributing to the strategic success of projects. The ideal candidate for this role will showcase an impressive track record in designing, developing, and maintaining highly scalable web applications, utilizing the latest advancements in Ruby on Rails. Your extensive engineering expertise will guide and shape our projects to achieve excellence.
What you'll be doing Producing clean, efficient, readable, maintainable, and scalable code based on specifications; Analyzing functional requirements and adjusting technical requirements as needed; Participating in designing features' architecture in collaboration with the team; Proactively identifying and communicating potential issues caused by chosen path or planned development and suggesting ways to resolve them; Estimating tasks and working to meet deadlines, reporting in a timely manner on any necessary rescheduling or changes to deadlines; Testing the functionality of all code/components/applications to ensure it works; Upgrading the new and existing solutions if needed; Considering multiple variations of user journeys for the feature and edge cases to eliminate unexpected feature flows. What you'll need 3+ years of professional experience in software development; Proficiency in Ruby and Ruby on Rails, with a strong ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code; In-depth knowledge of software design patterns and experience with relational databases (MySQL preferred); Proficiency in English (at least upper-intermediate level); Comprehensive experience with AWS, REST APIs, and Git; Strong analytical, unit testing, and debugging skills combined with meticulous attention to detail for ensuring software accuracy, security, and reliability; Effective communication skills for team collaboration and mentorship, with the ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines; Willingness to stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends and the capacity to analyze complex problems and design innovative solutions. Nice to have Experience in migrating applications to newer versions of Ruby and Ruby on Rails; Experience with Elasticsearch; Experience with Linux; Relevant certifications in related fields.
