.We are looking for a superstar Rooms Division Manager to join our pre-opening team at Andaz Lisbon.Expected to open in Q2 2025, Andaz Lisbon will offer guests an exciting new luxury lifestyle hotel in the Portuguese capital – and it will represent a key milestone in Hyatt's continued brand growth in Southern Europe. Andaz Lisbon is set to become the second Hyatt-branded hotel in Lisbon. Located in the center of Lisbon's bustling Baixa district and situated along the main pedestrian road, Rua Augusta, the hotel will be comprised of five separate buildings, including the former offices of one of the major banks in Portugal, Banco Português de Investimento (BPI). This unique Urban Resort in the city center will allow guests to fully embrace the locale and experience authentic Lisbon.About the roleAs part of the responsibilities of pre-opening, the Rooms Division Manager is responsible for ensuring effective and efficient workplace flow with the Housekeeping and Front Office departments in line with the standards of the Andaz Lisbon. This hands-on role provides the perfect opportunity for an inquisitive, passionate, and customer-focused professional to set clear strategies and goals to enhance the experience of guests and colleagues while maximizing revenues and controlling costs.Main Duties include:Overseeing the guest experience from check-in to check-out for all guests, working through each Head of Department to ensure a seamless guest experience and make adjustments where necessary.Maintain consistent and effective flow of communications between Housekeeping, Front Office, Maintenance, and other departments.Ensure that all company minimum brand standards have been implemented, and that optional brand standards have been implemented where appropriate.Oversee hotel inventory and ordering supplies.Ensure that each cost center operates with the lowest possible cost structure while also delivering on the brand promise to the guest.Build and deliver brand-led experiences that will contribute to exceeding hotel NPS and customer service scores.QualificationsIdeally with a degree.Currently in the role. Experience in a similar role in a luxury 5-star hotel.Speak Portuguese, English, and another European language.Comprehensive knowledge of front office, housekeeping, reservations, and guest services operations in luxury hotels.Ability to oversee the daily functions of the rooms division, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences.Experience in managing room inventory, allocation, and ensuring maximum occupancy and revenue.Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate a diverse team across various departments.Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences.Experience in implementing service standards and training staff to uphold them consistently.Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial management for the rooms division
