Responsibilities: You perform robot programming offline and/or online as well as robot commissioning in automotive project scenarios. You perform plausibility checks of functional descriptions as well as resulting procedures. You perform technical project support during the various phases of the project lifecycle. You perform virtual and onsite commissioning including support of the robot related measurements (TCP check, load data configuration, etc.). NOTE: onsite commissioning includes travel outside of Portugal. You perform cycle time and process quality optimization. You perform as technical supervisor for project partners. You perform robot technology maintenance and development tasks. You perform training tasks for your colleagues as well as our customers. Requirements: Availability to travel onsite to client a minimum of straight 20 to 30 days per travel, to a maximum of 180 days per year. Guaranteed a minimum of 100 to 120 days travelled per year. All travel is within Europe and booked internally by thyssenkrupp. Successfully completed a technical degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or a comparable education, with a foundation in electrical or mechanical fields. Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in robot programming, preferably in the automotive industry or a related manufacturing environment. Advanced knowledge in KUKA, Fanuc, or ABB robot applications and associated automation systems. Familiarity with robot safety programming. Preferably, specialized knowledge in various robot-related process technologies, such as spot welding, gluing, laser applications, etc. Strong analytical skills. Highly solution-oriented, with the ability to assert yourself and achieve results. An open mindset, characterized by agility and motivation. Advanced proficiency in spoken and written English; knowledge of basic or advanced German is preferred.
