Job Summary Collaborates with the physician and healthcare team in the delivery of patient care, utilizing the nursing process. Provides professional nursing care to patients, including conducting nursing assessments, assisting with exams and treatment, patient education, and maintenance of medical records. Must have 3 or more years of RN experience working with Pediatric patients in hospital or ER setting. Highly prefer ICU, Critical Care or IMU experience. Will be responsible for staffing the following anesthesia cases: -MRI/CT/Sedated Echo/Hearing Test/Lumbar Puncture/Bone Marrow/other procedures outside of the OR -Will work closely with the anesthesia coordinators and anesthesiologist partners and have to triage cases and communicate very effectively. -Collaborator/Effective Communication and an all-around Team player are the 3 most IMPORTANT needs for this role. Work Hours: Mon-Fri/7a-5:30p/Off day - TBD On-Call is one weekend a month Sat/Sun 8a-1p No weekends or holidays Minimum Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelors of Nursing preferred Licenses/Certifications: Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing Certified in Basic Life Support Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements Experience/ Knowledge/ Skills: RN I < 1 year RN II = 1-3 years RN III = 3-10 years RN IV = 10+ years Effective oral and written communication Principal Accountabilities Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients, according to the nursing skills inventory and the age and needs of the patient/population served.
