Job Description Oversee the preparation and issuance of invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
Monitor and manage the billing system to ensure completeness and accuracy of invoicing.
Resolve billing discrepancies and respond to customer billing inquiries promptly.
Revenue Recognition:
Ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
Collaborate with the accounting team to maintain accurate revenue records.
Prepare monthly revenue reports and analyze revenue trends.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in billing and revenue recognition.
Develop and maintain documentation of billing procedures and policies.
Work with IT and other departments to automate billing processes where possible.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to billing and revenue recognition.
Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.
Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and respond to auditor inquiries.
Team Management:
Lead and manage the billing team, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
Set performance goals, conduct performance reviews, and foster a positive work environment.
Qualifications Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in billing and revenue management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Experience with accounting software and Billing systems
Skills and Competencies:
Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and billing processes.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
