We are looking for a dynamic Retail HR Development Specialist to enhance the capabilities of our Store Managers across Portugal, ensuring they are equipped to effectively lead their teams and deliver exceptional customer service. This role also involves supporting the recruitment process for various profiles within the stores and corporate office.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Field Support : Spend significant time in stores to observe and understand current challenges. Work closely with Store Managers to apply training in real-world scenarios and monitor progress. Support Store Managers in developing action plans for continuous improvement in people management.
Stakeholder Collaboration : Collaborate with HR and Retail teams to ensure alignment on training needs and objectives. Act as a bridge between HR and store operations to facilitate the implementation of HR initiatives. Close collaboration with the HRBP in decision-making and action plans, as well as in prioritizing needs and actions.
Training and Development : Identify the specific training needs in people management for our Store Managers and implement the necessary training actions to address existing gaps. Implement comprehensive training actions focused on recruitment, team management, communication, and development of collaborators. Collaboration with the rest of the HR team for the creation of necessary content and materials.
Coaching : Provide individualized coaching to Store Managers, helping them optimize team performance and foster a positive work environment. Guide Store Managers on best practices in recruitment, onboarding, and employee performance evaluation. Provide practical training on how to handle sensitive conversations. Promote effective communication between Store Managers and their teams to resolve conflicts and enhance dynamics.
Performance Assessment : Regularly evaluate Store Managers' performance and provide constructive feedback to promote professional growth, in terms of people management.
Recruitment Support : Assist in the recruitment of Store Managers and other positions, ensuring the selection of top candidates.
Progress Reporting : Track and report on the development progress of Store Managers, providing insights for strategic decision-making.
MORE ABOUT YOU
Proven experience in training, coaching, or developing retail management teams in a fast-paced environment.
Fluent in Portuguese. English and/or Spanish are highly valued.
Strong understanding of retail operations and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire team members.
Proficient in conflict resolution and problem-solving.
Experience with recruitment and talent acquisition.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Passion for customer service and team dynamics.
Availability to travel 80% of the time.
