Who we are supporting
The NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA) is responsible for providing secure and effective communications and information technology (IT) services to NATO's member countries and its partners.
Role Duties and Responsibilities
Planning and Forecasting
Demand forecasting: Predicting future resource needs (people, classrooms and infrastructure) based on training plans, project schedules, workload, and organizational goals.
Capacity planning: Assessing the training branch's available resources and their capacity to meet future demands.
Allocation and Scheduling
Resource allocation: Proposing the assignment of resources to projects or tasks based on their skills, availability, and priorities.
Scheduling: Creating and managing schedules for resources to ensure timely completion of projects, including overall training and travel plans for the branch.
Monitoring and Optimization
Utilization tracking: Monitoring the usage of resources to identify underutilization or over allocation.
Optimization: Identifying and proposing strategies to improve resource utilization and efficiency, including the reassessment of allocation and prioritization when new tasks are identified.
Conflict Resolution
Resolving conflicts: Addressing issues related to resource allocation, scheduling, or performance.
Prioritizing tasks: Proposing the order in which tasks should be completed based on their importance and urgency.
Reporting and Analysis
Generating reports: Providing regular reports on resource utilization, project progress, and performance.
Analyzing data: Using data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
Essential Skills and Experience
Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools.
Expertise in resource allocation, scheduling, and forecasting techniques.
Ability to analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
Understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis.
Familiarity with resource management software and tools (e.g. ServiceNow).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to identify and resolve issues related to resource allocation and scheduling.
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
Desirable Skills and Experience
Knowledge of and experience with the NATO Command Structure, the NATO Force Structure, and the NATO Political Structure.
Experience working in an International environment with Military and Civilian elements.
Knowledge and experience working with NCI Agency.
Knowledge and experience working with NCI Academy.
Education
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 2+ years of experience OR 6+ years of relevant experience without a degree.
