Offer DescriptionApplications are open for one Research Studentship, within the framework of project R2UTechnologies, internal reference 1018P.06284, financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR-IAPMEI).
Workplan: Environmental and economic life cycle study of modular reinforced concrete constructions.
Duration: The research fellowship(s) will have the duration of 12 months.
It's expected to begin in February 2025 and cannot be renewed.
It is mandatory to formalize applications with the submission of the following documents: i) B1 Form – Fellowship application ( link ); ii) Curriculum Vitae; iii) academic degree certificate; iv) proof of enrollment at a PhD degree; v) motivation letter.
Admission RequirementsTo be enrolled at a PhD degree integrated in the educational project of a higher education institution, performed in association or cooperation with one or several R&D units. Additional InformationMonthly maintenance allowance: The amount of the monthly maintenance allowance is €1259,64, being the payment method an option of the Fellow by Wire Transfer/Check.
Selection ProcessSelection methods: The selection methods to be used will be as follows: curricular assessment (100%) carried out according to the following components: marks in courses already concluded in the PhD degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related areas and ranking of the University that teaches it (50%); experience in the field of construction sustainability (30%); experience in the preparation of scientific articles, published/accepted in international journals indexed by ISI/Scopus (10%); proficiency in the English language (10%).
If an interview is held, in case of a tiebreaker, in this case the weighting will be 70% for the curricular evaluation and 30% for the interview.
If none of the candidates has the appropriate profile, the scholarship will not be awarded.
Announcement/notification of the results: The final evaluation results will be communicated to all applicants by email.
Workplace: The work will be developed at CERIS at IST (Lisbon), under the scientific supervision of Professor José Silvestre.
