Research Fellowship (MSc) - 2 Positions – Stem and Immune Cells Bioengineering Location: Oeiras Field: Biotechnology Application Deadline: October 1, 2024 Introduction: Instituto de Biologia Experimental e Tecnológica (iBET), Oeiras, Portugal, invites applications for a research fellowship MSc in the field of Biological Engineering available within the project "Next generation, off-the-shelf, non fratricide-directed CAR immunotherapy for relapse/refractory T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia", Ref. 101113067 financed by the European Commission. Admission Requirements: Master in Biological Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related areas, with a final grade equal to or superior to 16/20. Experience in: Mammalian or human stem cell culture techniques; 3D cell culture approaches; Analytics for characterization of cells (flow cytometry, metabolism, immunofluorescence microscopy); Microscopy image analysis; Data analysis using statistical tools. Proficient use of the English language, both spoken and written (candidates with internships and/or periods abroad will be valued). Motivation for applied research and good teamwork skills will also be valued. Work Plan: Development of bioprocesses for the manufacture of CAR-T cells and methodologies for their characterization. Fellowship Duration: The fellowship will have a duration of 6 months, eventually renewed until the end of the project, without prejudice to the maximum limits foreseen by law.
