Overview
The Piteira Group is dedicated to bring advanced Nanoelectronics into mainstream applications within the semiconductor, biomedical, agrifood, and industrial markets.
We are looking for a Research Fellow to join our group in the Lab-on-a-chip device for bacteria and AMR genes detection project of the Smartgnostics Agenda, under the PRR framework.
Job Duties
Design and fabricate biosensing microfluidic devices for DNA detection;
Integrate and test microfluidic modules for DNA purification, amplification and detection;
Provide feedback towards automation and scale-up of microfluidic devices.
Mandatory Qualifications
Education: PhD in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biological Engineering or related fields.
Experience and Technical Skills:
Experience in the design and fabrication of microfluidic devices;
Experience in the development of biosensors;
Experience in microfabrication.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in microbiology;
Experience in DNA amplification techniques.
Personal Skills
