We are looking for a qualified Research Fellow to join our team under the PRR framework, and work on the Production of Sodium-Ion Based Structural Batteries project, for the New Generation Storage Agenda.Job DutiesThe job duties will be the following:Perform the R&D activities as planned in the project; Collaborate with other academic and industry partners within the consortium on joint R&D; Report to supervisor andproject leader(s) on R&D progress; Publish project results and communicating the results in project/professional meetings; Engage in other project dissemination activities.Mandatory QualificationsEducationPhD in Electrochemistry, Materials Chemistry, Materials Science and Engineering, Nanotechnology or other related field.Experience and Technical SkillsHands-on experience in alkali metal batteries, particularly current collectors; Extensive knowledge of battery chemistry and electrochemical performance assessment; Track-record on battery materials research, preferably on high-surface-area current collectors, in the form of scientific publications and/or patents as the leading author.Preferred QualificationsTechnical SkillsKnowledge of sodium-ion batteries and all related safety requirements; Knowledge of structural batteries; Knowledge of surface treatments and surface modification.Personal Skills"Hands-on" approach together with a high commitment in respecting working deadlines; Problem Solving ability;Customer orientation; Ability to work independently and as team player; Good communication skills.Our BenefitsCompetitive salary; Tax benefits and other Diplomatic privileges; Private health insurance; Family allowances (according to family situation); Free nursery service at INL premises (subject to availability); Support for education fees of dependent children; Relocation support;30 working days of annual leave
