As a Research Engineer, what are you going to do?
Contribute with solutions/improvements to Vision-Box portfolio (hardware, software or consultancy services);
Development of software solutions (computer vision, deep learning, biometric analytics, video analytics, data processing and analysis) and integration into Vision-Box products;
Initial code testing towards integration into larger tests for the entire solution;
Produce learning materials to other Vision-Box collaborators using VBAcademe or by other means;
Comply with Software Engineering guidelines and help to improve VB Application Lifecycle Management process;
Comply and assure compliance with the rules and procedures of Health, Safety & Environment and report any non-conformity detected in this area;
Comply and assure compliance with the rules and procedures of Quality Management System and other Management Systems that the company may adopt;
Ensure the confidentiality of the information available within the scope of the activity, as contractually defined.
What are the skills and professional experience we're expecting from you?
MsC in Electrical Engineering, Informatics or related fields. Prior working experience in Biometrics and Deep Learning is a plus;
Proficiency in Python; Proficiency in at least one Object Oriented Programming language (C++/C#) is preferred;
Experience in image processing tools (OpenCV) and deep learning frameworks like Keras, TensorFlow, Mxnet; Experience with OpenVino is a plus;
Deep understanding and practical experience in three to the following areas: Biometrics, Machine and Deep Learning, Data Science, Computer Vision, Cameras and Camera Networks, Geometrical Computer Vision;
Tracking the record of relevant scientific publications in the areas of Vision-Box products is a plus;
Proficiency in English.
