The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation is a private institution whose fundamental purpose is to improve people's quality of life through art, charity, science, and education. The Foundation operates from its headquarters in Lisbon and its branches in Paris and London.
The Calouste Gulbenkian Museum houses one of the most important private art collections in the world, gathered during Calouste Sarkis Gulbenkian's lifetime, with works that span five thousand years of art, from Ancient Egypt to the 20th century. In addition to the Collection, the Gulbenkian Museum organizes temporary exhibitions and other activities such as guided tours, workshops, conferences, among others.
We are looking for a Research Curator to join the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum team, which will be responsible for ensuring activities related to documentation, research, and conservation of the collection.

Location: Lisbon, Portugal
Main Responsibilities Conduct in-depth research in Art History, with a special focus on collecting
Participate in digitization and digital curation projects, applying knowledge of Digital Art History.
Collaborate with museums and other cultural institutions.
Develop strategies for the effective management of art collections and heritage.
Required Skills Ph.D. in Art History.
Proven experience in research, preferably with a focus on collecting.
Experience in digital curation and collection management.
Fluent communication in Portuguese and English; knowledge of French is an advantage.
Ability to work in a team with rigor and autonomy.
