How has the pandemic changed the way we work and shop? Why are so many international companies establishing in Portugal? Why has the demand for logistics spaces boosted over the last couple of years? Why has investment in real estate tripled in a decade?
If you are a curious person and are interested in commercial real estate (offices, retail and logistics), this can be an excellent opportunity for you!
ABOUT THE ROLE
Offices, retail and logistics are three traditional asset classes in the property market. However, the characteristics of these spaces have evolved over time, as have the profile and the needs of the respective occupiers. It will be your responsibility to develop clear and insightful analyses on these markets, both regarding occupants and investors. You will also be responsible for effectively communicating these insights, ensuring that CBRE's message is clear and presented concisely to the firm's clients. The position will require regular contact with colleagues both in Portugal and from other countries, as well as relevant players in the market, including developers, investors and occupiers. In addition, you will also be expected to be able to use property data intelligently, from both internal and external sources, to help the firm with pitches, enquiries, presentations and project work.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Provide the most reliable data in the market: collect, organise and guarantee the quality of the data for the office, retail and logistics sectors;
Help develop an approach to enhance CBRE thought leadership together with the business lines, data intelligence and marketing teams;
Assist in developing analytic processes and tools aimed to provide deeper sector insights and opportunities, including report realisation in cooperation with the business lines, data intelligence and marketing teams;
Support with processing incoming business, client and press enquiries;
Assist with local projects, such as consultancy work and client presentations.
WHAT CAN YOU OFFER US?
A bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Management, Economics, or Social Sciences;
3-5 years' experience in a research-based role;
Proficiency in data collection, manipulation, analysis and visualization; ability to convert data into valuable insights;
Good knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word; some knowledge of Power BI will be beneficial;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in Portuguese and in English.
WHAT CAN WE OFFER YOU?
You will be able to work with a wide and diverse net of colleagues with a commercial, financial, architectural and even creative background, all with the same drive for real estate.
We can also offer you opportunities to develop your skills through the CBRE learning program, thereby providing you with the opportunity to create an added value for our company and also for your own career.
At CBRE we are concerned with our employees' health and wellbeing. We provide health insurance to all employees working with us for more than one year. At our Lisbon office we have a large terrace with a beautiful view to the river, where you can have a break during your working day, play ping pong, enjoy our vegetable garden and inclusively collect the products we grow. You can use our common room either to have your meal or meet your colleagues.
In addition to the 22 days holiday period, you will benefit from two extra days due to our sector of activity. But even better, CBRE's current policy foresees that you do not work on your birthday.
WHAT WILL YOUR TEAM LOOK LIKE?
The CBRE Research and Data Intelligence department is market leading, focused on Thought Leadership, Business Support and Data-driven insights. We are currently a team of four, that works closely with colleagues from other departments, as well as with the European Research and Data Intelligence teams and CBRE clients. We are a very big team!
