What will you be doing? The successful candidate will carry out and deliver research projects to support Efficio's client (priority), as well as Business Development and Marketing work. Working as part of a team you will primarily respond to research briefings from consulting staff/ clients and help to maintain research repositories and available intelligence.
You will also support the central research team in managing our offshore research partners which are part of our day-to-day operations within the team, as well as collaborating with research capabilities in other regions when required.
Reporting to a Research Manager, the role will involve:
Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and industry assessments to support consulting projects
Liaise with consulting staff to clarify research briefing and to agree deliverable expectations
Gather, interpret, and analyse quantitative and qualitative data from various sources, e.g. databases, reports, surveys, and interviews
Able to synthesise insights from large amounts of information that answer specific client problems and enables our consultants to advise the clients accordingly
Prepare reports, presentations, and visualisations of research findings in a clear, concise, and professional manner compliant with Efficio format and guidelines. Participate in client meetings, presenting research insights as needed
Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and key drivers relevant to client projects and to support our Leadership Team with business development targeting priority sectors
Collaborate with internal teams to develop hypotheses, validate findings, and support strategic recommendations and establishing yourself as a reliable research partner to our project teams, Business Development (BD) teams, Marketing function and Communities of Practice (CoPs), by proactively reaching out to them, helping to scope research requests, facilitating requests with vendors, monitoring and managing effort, timelines and budget, and ensuring the resulting research output meets requirements and quality standards
Research Operations & Transformation – Play an active part in day-to-day research operations which includes managing our research partner's utilisation, maintaining research effort and cost records and maintaining research intellectual capital in dedicated repositories. Contribute to internal transformation initiatives, possibly collaborating with other parts of the business, to improve availability of market intelligence, enhance Efficio products, and optimise ways of working (efficiency and effectiveness of delivering research outcomes)
Bachelor's or master's degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
2-3 years of experience in a research, consulting, or analytical role.
Strong numerical ability and experience with analysing data (including building models to do so) to identify trends, opportunities, and other insights that benefit both our consultants and their clients
Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g. Excel) and comfortable with market research databases (e.g. S&P, Statista, Refinitive Eikon)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and any other European languages are a plus
Ability to write and communicate insights succinctly from a potentially large base of data and analysis – having the ability to draw out what is important to the client and explaining sometimes complex topics in a simple manner
Ability and confidence to discuss researched topics and share learnings with a senior audience to better equip them in having client conversations
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
