Douro Labs seeks a talented designer to help structure their user research, establish a web app design framework and component library, and develop top-notch designs for the suite of applications we will deploy. You should be quality-obsessed, comfortable working autonomously, and should enjoy bringing a unique skill set to the table. You will be working with a highly talented team, and we each bring skills that the others don't — you'll be the main in-house product UI/UX designer and so you must be comfortable with establishing and leading the process. You should also be passionate about both learning from and teaching teammates who will come with very diverse skills and backgrounds.You will be responsible for bringing web UI/UX design expertise to the team and enabling us to make the best product UX decisions and you will have a ton of trust and freedom to leverage your experience to drive us in the best direction. Knowledge of the nuances of the web — including designing features that work well across browsers, form factors, and accessibility requirements — is a must. So is comfort in navigating ambiguity and competing priorities.
