However, we welcome applicants from all other areas in the indicated countries, as we value diversity and recognize the unique perspectives each individual brings to our team.About the RoleAs a Release Train Engineer, you will be responsible for facilitating the Agile Release Train (ART) processes and execution, ensuring smooth coordination and alignment between teams enabling efficiently towards common goals. Key responsibilities include coordinating PI planning, managing risks and dependencies, and driving continuous improvement across the ART. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, and the ability to foster collaboration amongst teams.We can offer project contracts in Portugal and Malta, or contractor agreements to other countries in the EU. However, the selected candidate will be expected to travel one week a month to Malta with costs covered by the company.Skills and Experience:Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.SAFe Release Train Engineer certification is highly desirable.Minimum of 7 years in Agile roles, with at least 3 years in a senior RTE or equivalent leadership position. Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale Agile projects and leading cross-functional teams.Deep knowledge of Agile methodologies, especially SAFe.Strong leadership, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.Demonstrated expertise in handling intricate dependencies and ensuring cohesive team alignment.Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Competence with Agile tools and platforms (e.g., JIRA, Rally).Working at AscentAt Ascent we promote a healthy work-life balance by offering flexibility in where you work.
