Currently, we are seeking an exceptional Release Manager who thrives on complex challenges, and is ready to seize this fantastic opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the monitoring and management of application releases, ensuring smooth coordination with IT Risk Business Analysts and the Management team abroad;
Design, implement, and maintain reliable infrastructures and tools for the development and deployment of applications, ensuring availability and optimal performance in production environments;
Promote collaboration between development and operations teams throughout the application lifecycle, applying Agile methodologies and fostering continuous improvement in processes and communication;
Develop and maintain scripts to automate operational tasks, establish and manage CI/CD pipelines, and troubleshoot any issues in production systems;
Manage the deployment of updates and fixes, providing support for bugs and PROD issues while ensuring compliance with industry best practices;
Participate in the continuous maintenance and evolution of market risk diffusion engines (VaR), responding quickly to bug reports and performing corrective and evolutionary maintenance tasks as needed.
Requirements:
+5 years of experience working as a Release Manager;
Solid experience in software development, particularly in a CI/CD environment, with knowledge of TDD and object-oriented programming;
Experience with Java 8 and shell scripting in a Unix environment;
Familiarity with Big Data storage systems (Hadoop) and relational databases like Sybase and SQL Server;
Strong understanding of application runtime environments (e.g., process management, memory optimization);
Experience with DevOps practices and tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory, Docker, Control-M, and XL Deploy;
Familiarity with file manipulation in Unix environments;
Ability to work in an Agile environment and quickly respond to bug fixes and production support tasks;
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to plan work ahead and adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment;
Effective communication and collaboration skills;
Fluent level of English;
Living in Lisbon or Porto (hybrid role).
