Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Manufacturing Engineering Teams are process leaders for stamping, molding or assembly related topics, ensuring the processes are running at optimum levels for quality and output. Manufacturing Engineering Teams enable the TE business unit plants to reach TE Operating Advantage (TEOA) requirements, roll out Centers of Excellence (COE), Best Demonstrated Practices (BDP's) and advise plants on tool and machine duplications / corrections / improvements. They design and develop manufacturing process and automation platforms and apply them for the realization of new product developments as well as optimization of existing products already in production. The Teams also support Product Development in the selection and optimization of tools for piece part production and the selection of the most suitable manufacturing concepts relative to planned manufacturing quantities, quality requirements and manufacturing location. They act as interface between engineering and production to ensure manufacturability of new designs and smooth production ramp up as well as support the research & development teams to produce sample manufacturing equipment, product samples and prototypes.

Develop and implement concepts to manufacture new and existing products by using lean industrial design principles and best manufacturing technologies inside TE
Lead ME Assembly EMEA which includes Hubs in Portugal, Hungary, Czech Republic, Germany, Belgium, Morocco and India
Coach, mentor and develop the team by fostering an environment of continuous learning, and encouraging global collaboration in a geographically and culturally dispersed organization with a strong view on continuous improvement
Benchmark our current manufacturing concepts with the external market and regular review of major process-related challenges
Has the overall responsibility to provide manufacturing concepts for new and existing products
Implementation of digital tools on our Assembly equipment's for ramp up, traceability, problem solving and fast ramp up
Assure the design for manufacturing (MRL level) in collaboration with Product Engineering, Quality, Operations, Centre of Excellences and Process engineering
Minimize our Tooling Costs and Time to Market with Advanced Design Concepts, Additive Manufacturing, Reverse Engineering
Continuous tracking of required skills in current and future business opportunities
Strengthen usage and training of lean principles, problem solving, Six Sigma tools and data driven decisions
Establish the right KPIs to measure success
Requirements:
Bachelor's in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or equivalent
10+ years of work experience
Strong background in creating manufacturing concepts and processes as well as industrialization of projects
Experience in manufacturing of electronic components as an advantage
Lean and Value Stream Thinking
Demonstrated ability to motivate all levels of the organization
Comfortable to work in a fast-paced, international matrix organization
Fast learner, able to quickly familiarize with existing methods and new concepts/ideas
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
