RAD/VE & OC - Junior Researcher & Consultant, LisbonAt IPS_Innovative Prison Systems, we are looking for a Junior Researcher & Consultant to join our Radicalisation, Violent Extremism and Organised Crime Portfolio (Lisbon office, Portugal). As part of our recruitment process, we are offering a 9-to-12-month paid internship or employment contract (depending on candidates' expertise and skills). Both could potentially be followed by an extended (or no-fixed term) employment contract (conditional to IPS yearly job performance review).
Mandatory requirements: Master's degree in Criminology (preferred), International Relations, Sociology or Psychology (or related field); Excellent command (at least C1 level) of English (both written and spoken); Proficiency in the use of MS Office apps and statistical analysis software tools; Availability to travel in Portugal and to the countries in which we operate; Unimpeachable work ethic (incl. personal and professional integrity). Advantage conferring requirements: Have previous experience in EU-funded projects (incl. project management); Have carried out work/additional studies in the field of P/CVE, CT or Organised Crime (e.g., scientific publications, master thesis); Have prior knowledge of P/CVE and CT concepts and EU policies; Opportunity to develop a career working with a dynamic team and in an international environment; Possibility to work remotely (despite the mandatory in-person assignments abroad or team meetings in Portugal). As our internships are very sought after, potential candidates will be selected based on a three-step procedure: i) curriculum evaluation (see mandatory and advantage requirements); ii) short written assignment; and iii) interview.
