You will join the Industrial business unit that includes the refining, logistics, and cogeneration activities in the Iberian Peninsula, as well as the project to transform the Sines refinery through green hydrogen and biofuels.
About your future Team
You will join the Engineering and HSE Team, part of the Industrial Business Unit. This is a dynamic and multidisciplinary team providing specialized technical and HSE support to Industrial Projects in all phases, from conception to decommissioning. Quality is the new discipline being added to our competencies.
How will your day-to-day look like
Ensure for all Projects that all procedures, processes and QA/QC tests to be followed in the procurement, construction and pre-commissioning phases are correctly defined in the design phase.
Evaluate the Quality organization of service providers, contractors and suppliers of materials and equipment, including analyzing their ability to implement/follow/execute the required procedures, processes and tests relating to QA/QC and to carry out corrective actions that are relevant to the fulfillment of what is established in their contracts.
Verify the compliance of actions carried out by service providers, contractors and suppliers of materials and equipment, with the procedures, processes and tests relating to QA/QC established in their contracts.
Ensure availability and accessibility by Galp, at any time, to all Quality documents issued within the scope of any ongoing Project.
Ensure the correct filing at Galp of all Quality documents issued within the scope of any completed Project.
Ensure delivery to the Competent Entities of the Quality documentation required for the licensing of facilities built within the scope of executed Projects.
Evaluate the EPC/EPCm Quality organization, including analyzing the conformity of planned and implemented procedures and processes.
Verify compliance of EPC/EPCm actions with defined procedures and processes.
Verify, through sampling, the conformity of Quality documents delivered by service providers, contractors and suppliers of materials and equipment, previously reviewed by EPC/EPCm.
Evaluate the convenience and, in a given case, implement and manage in the PO a Quality system referenced by the ISO 9001 standard.
What makes you unique
Degree in Engineering (5 years course Pre Bologne or Master).
Experience in the development and deployment of quality strategies/plans, quality management and improvement systems.
10+ years experience in Leading Quality Management and proven experience in process improvement and quality assurance roles in energy industry environment.
Knowledge of the main standards and codes applicable to Quality Management.
Knowledge of QA/QC standards and good practices applicable to Project management, along the different phases.
Experience working within a matrix organization or within Quality & Continuous Improvement.
High attention to detail.
Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Good self-management skills and a high level of autonomy.
Spirit of initiative, innovation and results orientation.
Ability to critically analyze and develop action plans.
Availability to travel.
Driving license.
Oral and written fluency in English.
