Quality Engineer Olympus Medical Products Portugal (OMPP) | Medical Systems Olympus Medical Products Portugal is a subsidiary of the Olympus Group. Your responsibilities Performs nonconformity management activities
Supports change processes (service repair changes)
Carries out quality related trainings
Acts as part of cross-functional Operations and Engineering teams
Performs continuous improvement activities
Provides 1st Level support related to quality problems
Foster and promote a culture of Quality Management and Compliance
Support quality audits
Carry out and administer quality system processes, e.g. CAPA, Change Control, NC's, Document Control, Supplier Quality
Promote a culture focused on good environmental practices and H&S rules to minimize environmental impacts and safety risks
Ensures that all rules and guidelines are implemented and continuously followed in the local organization
Maintaining Quality documentation
Perform the Quality Checks / Process Reviews
Provide guidance to technicians and inspectors based on identified quality issues and initiate remediation measures
Completion of technical reports and documenting evidence of quality findings
Minimum Requirements Education / Qualifications:
Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent professional education / long years of experience
Experience:
3 - 5 years of experience in a regulated and high industrial production environment (desired)
Experience in a Medical Device Industry (desired)
Experience and understanding of quality control loops
Technical education and background
Formal qualification in engineering preferred
Specific Skills:
Set of quality tools and methods
ISO 9001 / 13485 or/and FDA / Medical technology background
Manufacturing knowledge
Understanding interfaces between functions
Clear & concise written and spoken communication skills
Ability to present information in a structured way to audiences of varied technical levels
Effective collaborator
Is organized and can plan/schedule efficiently
