Vestas Technology & Operations > Research & Development (R&D) > PPC Applications The Power Plant Control Applications (PPC Applications) department is a sub module of the Power System Integration (PSI) module within the R&D organization.
The energy transition from fossil fouled power plants to renewables poses significant and increasing challenged to the electrical power system in several countries.
The PSI module is end-to-end accountable to solve these challenges and achieve grid connection for our clients.
We thereby do the electrical design between the power grid and the individual turbines, which includes integration of various third-party BoP components incl.
Solar, Energy Storage and similar.
One of the main products, which enables this, is the Vestas Online(R) Power Plant Controller.
The PPC Applications department has SW engineers in Denmark and Portugal and is responsible for elements of the Power Plant Controller imbedded SW design and implementation as well as the impacted Ecosystem.
This includes Supervision & Monitoring, Data- & Configuration management, UCI, Mimics, Dispatcher, Test- & Lab environments, Configuration tools, etc.
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Lead to leverage the software delivered by PPC Applications with the higher standards demanded the industry.

Responsibilities You will report to the Sub Module Owner of Power Plant Control Applications, and you will be responsible to define and keep in place quality assurance guidelines within specific conditions of software development life cycle.
More specifically, your responsibilities will cover: Be updated with quality guidelines and processes applied within R&D Define specific processes and guidelines related with software delivered within Sub Module Collaborate with other sub modules to define end-to-end test plans Know the product from a business perspective and identify gaps in existing test plans Define new test plans Identify regression tests to be automated Define a plan to reduce technical debt on test automation Identify opportunities of improvement along the SDLC Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a similar field.
+ 5 years of previous professional experience as a QA engineer Previous experience working as a QA lead Having a ISTQB certification is highly valued Have great communication skills and are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Have the aspiration and proactiveness to learn about Vestas business from a software engineering perspective, and you have a continuous improvement mindset.
Experience with SCRUM and Agile Development.
Understanding of Continuous integration solutions with e.g.
Git, Jenkins, Atlassian suite.
