ABOUT THE JOB
We're looking for a dedicated and organised Purchasing Manager to join our team! In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with the Design and Product Development teams hand in hand, supporting decision making both operationally and strategically. This role is all about supporting product lifecycle through planning, forecasting, implementing and monitoring. You'll be preparing and monitoring budgets, analyzing and reporting product performance and handling orders with suppliers, ensuring all info is accurate and up-to-date.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and share a budget for assigned product categories, ensuring the desired product mix (color, retail price, delivery date, seasonability).
Monitor real purchasing to ensure it matches the agreed budget for the season, in all dimensions.
Define product quantities and retail prices for specific product categories.
Establish markup strategy for specific product categories and support product development team achieving it.
Follow a buying calendar, ensuring all orders are sent in time, minimizing delays and finding solutions with internal and suppliers teams.
Analyze category performance on sales, stock, purchasing and profitability, identifying opportunities and recommending corrective measures.
Handle relationship with suppliers by sending PO, reviewing and approving deadlines as well as other operational/logistic issues they would need assistance on.
Ensure all purchasing info (orders, delivery dates, production and retail prices, etc) are up-to-date in multiple MIKUTA platforms.
Work closely with management in developing transformational projects in buying.
ABOUT YOU
Fluent in English & Portuguese, both written and spoken.
University degree in Engineering and Industrial Management, Management, Economics or similar areas.
Experience in similar areas (minimum) 1 year.
Solid numerical and analytical ability.
Good knowledge of Excel.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with colleagues across departments.
Ability to think on your feet and provide solutions to both managers and related teams.
