Job Description
As Purchasing Controller for indirect materials you will be in charge of controlling the indirect purchasing activities within the organization by gathering relevant data, developing and measuring adequate KPIs, and proposing corrective actions. Unlike direct purchasing (which involves goods directly used in the production process), indirect purchasing involves items such as office supplies, equipment, maintenance services, utilities, and the like. In addition to your primary role for indirect materials, you will support and substitute the international purchasing controlling team on direct material matters.
Your contribution to something big:
Further develop and implement concept(s) for Indirect Purchasing Controlling
You analyse purchasing data, generating insightful Purchasing Management reports on performance and competitiveness for all indirect spent
You identify aspects that have an impact on target achievement and propose appropriate measures in case of deviation.
You track and support Cost Center planning for Budget and Headcount in the global Purchasing organization.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of Indirect spent
You prepare, support, or develop standard and ad-hoc reports using up-to-date IT Tools (SAP, Power BI, Python, and others).
Furthermore, you contribute to introducing new controlling IT tools in Purchasing along with related functions and define/adapt processes associated with Purchasing Controlling.
You develop a concept for and perform detective controls in Purchasing and Procurement, ensuring compliance with laws and internal regulations. You define and track measures until closure in case of findings.
Lastly, you provide active support to and substitute for our global organisation also with regards to direct materials purchasing controlling.
Qualifications
What distinguishes you:
Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or equivalent
Professional experience in the field of purchasing controlling or controlling with insights into purchasing and purchasing processes
Experience in SAP (R/3 or ECC) and professional command of MS Excel
Experience with purchasing S2O solutions e.g. SAP Ariba, Jaggaer or Ivalua; Power BI is desirable
Experience in business intelligence and/or data analytics and data visualization methods and tools
Intercultural competencies of advantage
Ability to handle multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment are necessary
Flexibility and quick adaptability to new situations are crucial
Proactive and agile taking on of issues and development of solutions
Transparent, reliable, and precise working manner
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner
Outstanding business proficiency in English is required (verbally and writing)
