Job Description
We are seeking a talented and motivated PR Specialist to join our international EMEA Communications team, helping us to build and maintain media relationships to position Zendesk as the leader for AI in CX. The PR Specialist will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of public relations strategies that enhance the company's reputation and visibility. This role involves working closely with the PR Managers for the UK, France and Germany.
Key Responsibilities:
Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with journalists. Research new contacts and keep distribution lists up to date. Assist in securing media coverage in key titles.
Content Creation: Write, edit and review press releases, articles, and other PR materials that effectively communicate the company's messages and news.
Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor media coverage and industry trends, compile press clippings, and prepare reports on PR activities. Analyze the effectiveness of campaigns and suggest improvements.
Campaign Support: Assist in the planning and execution of PR campaigns.
Event Coordination: Support the organization and execution of press conferences, media briefings, and company events.
Research: Conduct research to identify new PR opportunities, including speaking engagements, award submissions, and partnerships that align with the company's goals.
What you bring to the role
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in external communications, PR, corporate communications, or a related field.
Native English speaker or business fluent.
Experience working in the tech, CX or SaaS industry is a benefit.
Strong writing and researching skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and keep a high attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
A communications lover who thrives in an international fast-growing environment.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Working experience in a PR agency is a plus.
Native English or business fluent; language skills in French and German are beneficial.
