Introduction

Chainlabs is a data startup dedicated to enabling web3 analytics. We help identify blockchain address ownership and track addresses linked to criminal activities. We help companies similar to Nansen, Chainalysis and Arkham in their wallet labelling. Our biggest clients are anti-money laundering (AML) service providers, but we also support law enforcement, traders, and academic research.

We're seeking an Agile Project Manager to lead a distributed team of web3 analysts. Your first task will be to coordinate a team of freelancers in finding and registering at cryptocurrency exchanges worldwide. You'll be given the chance to shine in many other data intelligence projects. The ideal candidate is passionate about the crypto ecosystem, excels at team coordination, and thrives on deadline management. This role involves close collaboration with our data scientists to streamline blockchain data ingestion.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage a team of 10–15 part-time freelancers working on crypto exchange research and data entry.

Utilize project management tools (e.g., Notion, Trello, Asana, Monday.com) for task allocation, progress monitoring, and deadline enforcement.

Coordinate with recruiters and lead the onboarding of freelancers in diverse jurisdictions such as Brazil, Japan, and Lebanon.

Conduct regular team stand-ups and one-on-one check-ins to ensure clear communication and prompt issue resolution.

Onboard, train, and provide continuous support for freelancers to help them discover new cryptocurrency exchanges in their countries and guide them through depositing and withdrawing cryptocurrencies.

Help document Chainlabs' data collection standards.

Collaborate closely with Chainlabs analytics teams to expand and streamline our labeled blockchain address datasets.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience in the Cryptocurrency Ecosystem: Deep understanding of blockchain technologies and cryptocurrency transactions is essential. Candidates should have experience with crypto exchanges, wallets, and transaction mechanisms.

Strong Team Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead a remote team effectively, including task assignment, progress tracking, and ensuring team productivity.

Excellent English Communication: Strong verbal and written English skills, with clear and articulate expression necessary for training freelancers.

Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Ability to devise novel methods for recruiting freelancers in diverse countries, such as Myanmar and Albania.

Proven Agile Project Management Experience: Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, Certified Agile Project Manager) or demonstrable hands-on experience implementing Agile processes.

Proficiency in Project Management Tools: Familiarity with Notion, Trello, Asana, Monday.com, or equivalent platforms, and experience managing multiple tasks concurrently.

Preferred Qualifications

Multiple Language Skills: Knowledge of other widely spoken languages is preferred, particularly Arabic and Spanish, as well as French or Portuguese.

Knowledge of OSINT and Financial Cybercrime: Experience with open-source intelligence gathering and understanding of financial cybercrime activities, especially those involving cryptocurrencies. Familiarity with Financial Sanction Lists, Scams, Ransomware, and Darknet Markets is beneficial.

Experience in Web3 Analytics: Prior experience in web3 analytics or blockchain data collection, such as using Arkham, Dune, Flipside Crypto, Nansen, or similar platforms.

What We Offer

The opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space, making a direct impact on combating illicit activities and supporting global Anti-Money Laundering efforts.

A flexible, remote working environment with a collaborative and driven team.

Competitive salary and growth opportunities within Chainlabs.
