Ray.BBDMis is currently searching for a Project Engineer for a client in the oil & gas sector , an exploration and production (E&P) company involved in the acquisition, development, and production of oil and natural gas fields. The company holds majority interests in three hydrocarbon licenses in Gabon, Brazil, and Namibia and has been listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange since 2020. This company is part of a large global Norwegian group specializing in maritime energy, transport, and floating gas infrastructure and has over 80 years of history.
The Project Engineer will be based in Lisbon and oversee and manage various engineering projects. This role involves close coordination with teams across different locations, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in accordance with quality standards. The Project Engineer will play a critical role in optimizing processes, driving efficiency, and ensuring successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities: Project Oversight: Manage and oversee the execution of engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
Team Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, and construction, to ensure seamless project delivery.
Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
Budget and Resource Management: Monitor project budgets, resources, and schedules, ensuring that projects remain within financial and time constraints.
Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including status reports, risk assessments, and post-project evaluations.
Travel and Site Visits: Willingness to travel to project sites as required, both domestically and internationally, to oversee and support project activities.
Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Main Requirements: Educational Background: A degree in engineering, preferably in mechanical, electrical, chemical, or a related discipline.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management or process engineering, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English is mandatory. French language skills are a plus.
