Context The SYSTRA Project Director in Portugal will oversee and manage the design of a high-profile transport engineering project. This role requires strategic leadership, technical expertise and project management skills to ensure the successful completion of the project time, within scope and within budget. He/She will be a key player in the development of SYSTRA in Portugal, and therefore needs to perfectly understand the Portuguese market and players. Missions/Main Duties Leadership & Management: - Lead a multidisciplinary project team of professionals based in several geographies. - Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including government bodies, contractors, and community groups. - Foster a collaborative and innovative project environment. Project Planning & Execution: - Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. - Ensure all project activities comply with regulatory and safety standards. - Monitor project progress and performance, implementing corrective actions as needed to ensure project goals are met. Technical Oversight: - Provide technical direction and support to the engineering team. - Oversee the design of the infrastructure. - Ensure the integration of advanced technologies and best practices in transport engineering. - Prepare and manage the project budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources. - Track expenditures and forecast financial requirements, making adjustments as necessary. - Identify and secure funding opportunities and manage contracts with vendors and subcontractors. Quality Assurance: - Implement and maintain quality assurance processes throughout the project lifecycle. - Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards. - Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies in project deliverables
