Mission of the Role: Our program manager for Ford Europe display programs will lead the cross-functional team from business win to launch and reports directly to the Chief Program Engineer (Senior Program Manager).
Successful launch of European display programs (cluster and centre stack displays)This includes the following Key Performance Indicators:Lead the cross-functional teamTrack project status closely and resolve or mitigate risksWork with the cross-functional team to ensure the business financials are exceeding baselineConduct the program gate reviews on timeReport out to the next level manager weeklyKey Objectives of this Role: Creating and executing project work plans (Configuration Management Plan) and revisions as appropriate to meet project phase deadlines and changing requirementsManaging resources in conjunction with horizontal managers, manufacturing, and othersHelping resolve (through experience) day-to-day operational aspects of project and scopeEffectively managing project risk through mitigation planning using appropriate toolsSupporting Project team in their monitoring and reports of timing, income, expense, and resource managementEnsuring less experienced team members are utilizing Project Management and all internal methodologyPreparing for Senior Project Leader and Project Board project reviews and quality assurance proceduresEnsuring all project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriatelyMonitoring project status (including supplier status) and reviewing Current Model activities with appropriate stakeholdersAdditional Functions: consistently acknowledging and appreciating each team member's contributionsEffectively utilizing each team member to his/her fullest potentialMotivating the entire Project team to work together in the most efficient mannerKeeping track of lessons learned and sharing those lessons with team members and other project teamsMitigating team conflict and communication problemsEncouraging "straight talk" among team membersThe individual should be recognized as a Pride Builder and challenges others to develop as leaders while serving as a role model and mentorInspiring co-workers to attain goals and pursue excellenceIdentifying opportunities for improvement and making constructive suggestions for changeAs the role requires patience and respect of others as they are learning, communication and listening skills are paramountTeaching (based on experience) the team and functional leaders to ensure that relevant communication with the customer is done in a timely and appropriate mannerRequired Experience/Skills: Degree in Engineering or related areaMinimum 5 years of experienceFluent in English; German will be valuableKnowledge of automotive electronic products (preferable condition)Strongly driven for results, awareness of market and technology advancements, commercially awareKey Behaviors: Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Resilience, Result Orientation, Visteon values and beliefs
