For one of our international clients in Weesp, Amsterdam area, we are looking for a Production Supervisor Dutch and English for their finishing logistics department. Our client is an international company that specialises in manufacturing of adhesive products for global markets.
Responsibilities/Tasks As a Supervisor, you are responsible for the day-to-day operational management of a team within the production plant. You ensure that all processes run smoothly, productivity is high, and that safety and quality standards are adhered to. You will work closely with other departments to ensure efficient and effective distribution of goods.
Main Duties
Operational Management:
Coordinate and supervise day-to-day operations within the production plant.
Ensuring efficient and timely processing of incoming and outgoing orders.
Monitoring the progress of the work and making adjustments where necessary to achieve productivity goals.
Team Leadership:
Managing, coaching and motivating a team of employees.
Planning and organizing staffing to meet operational needs.
Conducting performance and appraisal interviews, identifying training needs and supporting the professional development of team members.
Safety:
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and operating procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Conduct regular risk assessments and safety inspections within the production plant.
Identify potential hazards and develop measures to minimize risks.
Quality:
Manage the process for handling customer complaints related to product quality.
Identify causes of quality problems and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Process Improvement:
Analyse operational processes and propose improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Initiating and implementing lean and continuous improvement projects within the production plant.
Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting performance to management.
Requirements At least a completed MBO education, preferably in the direction of logistics, supply chain management or a similar discipline.
Fluent in Dutch and English.
Proven experience in a managerial role within a logistics or distribution environment.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Flexibility and willingness to work in shifts if necessary.
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
