Production Manager

We are hiring a Production Manager for a multinational automotive company implementing its first manufacturing unit in Portugal.Responsibilities:Oversee manufacturing operations including Production, Planning (material and production), Process Engineering, Equipment Maintenance.Develop manufacturing plans and establish procedures for maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations to ensure that products conform to established customer and company quality standards.Optimize utilization of manpower, machinery, materials, and other resources to deliver operational excellence and meet the annual budgetary plan.Identify, recommend and implement changes to improve productivity and reduce cost and scrap; monitor scrap and rework data. Direct the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of production standards.Direct and monitor the team to accomplish goals of the manufacturing plan, consistent with established manufacturing and safety procedures.Hire, train, develop and evaluate staff. Take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Ensure compliance with local regulations and company's SOP (Standard of Procedure).Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering field.Minimum five years experience in a similar role.Experience in the automotive industry.Hands-on experience in manufacturing-based technology, lean manufacturing, international quality systems: IATF16949/ISO9001/ISO14001, and driving productivity and quality improvement programs.Opportunity to belong to a project from the start and grow with the company.
