Overall responsibilities and duties:
The main objective of the job is to manage and apply the tools available that support logistics and manage the team organized in GAP's (Autonomous Group of Production).
Organization: Responsible for 15 to 25 operators working on the same shift.
Main missions of the role:
QCDP Performance: Develops the objectives fixed and manages the necessary tools to achieve them:
Propose and follow QCDP indicators (Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People);
Ensure the necessary training and motivate different work teams to improve performance (QRCI, 5S, etc.);
Define objectives QCDP for the different GAP's: SCRAP, MPM's, PDP with the supervisors of other shifts and the Logistics Manager;
Follow GAP's performance during the shifts and report accurate data at the end of the shift;
Manage resources to reach results: adapt/identify recruitment needs;
React immediately in case of a problem: take care of immediate containment, call support functions if necessary, build action plans;
Apply quality standards and proceedings to satisfy the final client;
Participate in Pull System/Kanban deployment;
Propose solutions and methodologies that contribute to optimization of processes;
People Management:
Ensure daily management: presence on the shop floor, daily contact with team members;
Manage teams: daily and weekly plan shift changes, absenteeism, holidays, and overtime;
Coach all team members in how to perform their role;
Support operators to solve interpersonal and operational problems;
Ensure rigor and discipline (work clothes, EPI's, work schedule);
Ensure respect for standards and safety instructions, policies, and procedures;
Participate in selection and recruitment of staff;
Ensure proper induction of newcomers;
Define and manage training plan and development of team members;
Manage appraisal process for all staff;
Validate and manage operators' polyvalence and follow this process;
Ensure recognition of individual performance of each team member;
Ensure accurate information exchange with the team;
Build, adapt, and improve standardized work documents;
Health, Safety, Environment and Work Conditions:
Responsible for immediately stopping the logistic mechanism in case of safety risk;
Pilot and lead HSE Core Team in GAP's and follow the deployment of action plans;
Guide improvements of work conditions and ergonomics;
Ensure that all outsourcers know and respect proceedings;
Audit outsourcers;
Manage waste and empty containers park;
Manage recycle materials;
Ensure update registers of environmental management system;
Ensure arrangement, cleaning, order, and rigor in his/her sector (5S);
Carry out the actions designated for the emergency plan;
Handling Facilities:
Participate in operators training for machines driving;
Assure timely communication with the Plant PC&L Manager and internal clients;
Participate in the department daily meeting and report performance of the GAP's;
Exchange information with the supervisor of the previous shift;
Participate with supervisors' colleagues in improving the performance of UAP;
Pilot Dashboard with the technical support functions;
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Minimum education level: Bachelor or Master in Management or Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical) (preferably)
Experience: Professional preferably in an industrial environment
Skills and competencies:
Good level of written and spoken English;
Standardizes work;
Managing teams;
Ergonomics, safety, and environment;
7 Delivery Basics / 7 Inventory Basics;
Excel;
SAP;
