Established in 2009, we are an apparel and lifestyle agency, supplying luxury performance clothing and lifestyle solutions for super yachts, private aviation, hotels, villas, and private residences.
From our Head Office in London, our project management team sources luxury yacht crew clothing and uniforms from core suppliers, with our offering extending to our consciously produced in-house luxury crew clothing range, which is distributed from our EU warehouse in Portugal.
The Role
The Customisation and Tailoring Assistant will support the customisation and tailoring processes within the Portugal office, assisting with various tasks such as preparing and creating detailed MS Sheets for production. This role involves coordinating with teams, ensuring accurate documentation, and helping to maintain smooth workflows across customisation and tailoring projects.
The position requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with multiple teams to ensure high-quality customisation and tailored pieces.
Responsibilities:
Customisation and tailoring
Manage customisation form spreadsheet
Manage tailoring sheets
Create both new and repeat customisation forms as directed by the client team
Ensure both PO numbers and adequate descriptions are given on the paperwork
Communicate with the Hub and external UK suppliers regarding details of the job as required
Check the quality of customisation returning to the studio
Approve UK customisation invoices for payment
Research and advise the best techniques for customisation
Ensure quality and consistency of tailoring forms
Create new tailoring forms with the design team
MS Sheets
Prepare and update production manufacturing sheets in Excel, detailing all necessary materials, trims, and garment components, providing clear guidance for the production team and factories to facilitate seamless manufacturing.
Ensure accurate and consistent information and trim/fabric codes are included as specified by the Development Team.
Include correct measurement charts and label artworks for each style.
Ensure these are promptly submitted for approval by the Garment Technologist, to maintain a swift production process.
About You
Fluency in English, as this role requires daily communication with our UK studio.
Quick thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to multitask, working on multiple projects to meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Excel, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator (basic level) with the ability to edit and create simple graphics and layouts.
Basic understanding of garment specifications.
