Product Support ECA Automation Engineer - CCF and AQFlexSidel is looking for a Product Support Automation Expert who will be focused on CCF (conveyors and cap feeder) and AQFlex (bottles accumulation system). The resource will be part of the Regional Product Support Back Office Team and will be based in Santa Maria De Feira. Being part of the RPS ECA (Regional Product Support Europe & Central Asia) is a great opportunity to work closely with Sidel's products and customers by working on both new equipment and the installed base (i.e., improvements, evolutions, support of the services activities). Issue resolution is also an essential part of the RPS mission.
Your MissionThe job takes place mainly in the office but also involves a few missions at customers' sites. In both situations, the resource has to:
Secure the operational follow-up & technical support (on the automation side) of all CCF and AQFlex products throughout the whole life of the machines installed in the ECA region.Ensure that the population of colleagues (mainly FSE, ISM, PM, CCM) in contact with the customer are well supported through email, tickets, telephone, and onsite missions.Prepare and distribute the appropriate documentation concerning the troubleshooting of automation issues to customers and FSE, and communicate with central product support about identified issues and Non-Conformities.Execute automation RCA following the issue resolution process, supporting the consequent plan of recovery and corrective actions, interacting with other departments.Your ProfileMaster or Bachelor Degree, or equivalent.Good level of spoken and written English; proficiency in Italian/French is an advantage for local integration.At least 3 years of technical assistance, field experience, or engineering in packaging equipment (automation side).Electrical fundamentals (safety equipment, sensors, motion, servo drivers, inverters, etc.).Knowledge of PLC platforms (specific knowledge of Siemens S7 SCL-Graph-Awl, B&R, Rockwell Automation is a plus).Knowledge of HMI (specific knowledge of ZenOn, Citec, and/or InTouch is a plus) and Motion platforms (specific knowledge of Danfoss, Schneider, B&R is a plus).Application of Root Cause Analysis methodology for issue resolution.Good interpersonal skills, especially the ability to communicate with different target groups (technicians, customers, etc.).
