We are looking for an exceptionally skilled Principal Product Designer to take on a pivotal role within our Design team and across our R&D organization. In this role, you will have a significant impact on how our users generate, collaborate on, and manage documents. Your responsibilities will include defining our design direction, fostering innovation, and working closely with diverse teams to ensure an outstanding user experience. This role is crucial as we push the boundaries of our industry and elevate our teams to new heights. The design team currently consists of a bunch of 23 designers, 5 researchers and one copywriter. We're spread across the globe, from Portugal, Spain, Poland, Ukraine and the U.S. App Platform @ PandaDoc Our mission is to build a robust and adaptable platform foundation that provides essential building blocks for core functions such as billing and user management. We aim to drive seamless customer experiences and empower our internal teams to innovate and unlock value rapidly. Role responsibilities Strategic Impact and Innovation: Establish the design direction, standards, and best practices for the PandaDoc Editor. Take a lead role in shaping the long-term vision and strategy for the personalization framework, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and objectives. Design Execution and Leadership: Hands-on design execution, steering the design direction. Mentorship: Fostering the professional growth of our design team, encouraging a culture of excellence and continuous learning. Collaboration: Proactively communicate changes, project progress, updates, project notes, strategic thoughts, etc. to managers, key stakeholders, and peers. Ensuring visual and functional consistency across all products by advocating for design system best practices and standards. Advocacy: Promoting design principles and user-centered design philosophy across the organization. Usability and accessibility: Champion usability and accessibility principles to create intuitive and accessible user experiences. Refine user journeys and interactions to simplify complex workflows and enhance user satisfaction. Research: Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative research to gather insights and refine design hypotheses
