Your job will be to be the technical expert tasked with establishing smart pricing models and policies for all OLX customer units (Motors, Real Estate, Goods, Jobs, and Services). Pricing that is fair for the customers, proportional to the market value we deliver, and that works for OLX. This is a unique opportunity! You will be part of a strategic movement inside the company, working in an area with a very significant business impact! Your job will be to provide technical guidance to a team of Product, Commercial, and Data Science experts working in the areas of pricing and pricing optimization. You will be responsible for fueling the team with technical inspiration and mentoring the team members to explore the newest technologies in Causal Inference and Decision Science while delivering business value. You will be exposed to key stakeholders, and you will have direct contact with internal customers. You will have the freedom to design experiments across different lines of business and test things. Most importantly, you will also witness how your work impacts the day-to-day business and the growth of OLX. Finally, you will be a mentor and a thought leader for the practice of Data Science and Analytics across the organizations that constitute OLX, finding opportunities to have an impact not only for the business and our users but also for the community of Data Scientists spread across our hubs. What you will be doing: Work in the Data Science team, focusing on Pricing Optimization, from a platform and marketplace perspective. Leading projects and initiatives in collaboration with local Data Science and Data Engineering teams, as well as Product and Commercial leaders. You will maintain strong relationships with stakeholders. This means asking a lot of questions to commercial people and translating their requirements into achievable projects. It also means collaborating with other teams, like infrastructure and data engineering to get things done in an elegant and timely manner. Work with Product Analytics to track the KPIs of different ML use cases and measure the impact on our customers. Partner with the Experimentation team to integrate the KPIs and their proxies into the Experimentation (A/B testing) platform.
