We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant (TA) in our Prep School. The TA would be placed in Year 5 for this Academic Year. To start as soon as possible.

Teaching Assistant job description Core purpose To support the Class Teacher in the children's learning and their welfare.
To work with the teacher in lesson delivery, evaluation and assessment.
To encourage pupils to interact and work cooperatively with others and engage all pupils in activities.
To maintain absolute confidentiality with regard to pupil information and refer all inquiries to the Class Teacher.
To assist the Class Teacher in creating learning displays.
To monitor and evaluate pupils' responses to learning activities through observation and planned recording of achievement against predetermined learning objectives.
To consistently support pupils whilst recognising and responding to their individual needs.
To assist the Class Teacher in maintaining a positive learning environment.
To maintain an allotted Primary Resource Area.
To perform duties in the support of children's learning and welfare.
Person specification Essentials Excellent written and spoken English.
A commitment to professional growth and development.
Excellent IT skills to support teaching and learning.
Enthusiasm that inspires others.
Positivity, perseverance and a good sense of humour.
Desirable A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification.
First Aid Certificate.
Experience working in a Primary School environment.
