What iMM seeks: At this moment, iMM is looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Immune Regulation Laboratory coordinated by Marc Veldhoen to execute the following activities under the supervision of Marc Veldhoen:
Biochemical assaysWestern blotsSubcellular fractionationsMetabolic and mitochondrial assaysCell cultureMicroscopy (LM/EM)Metabolic assaysFlow cytometryProfile of Candidate PhD in Biochemistry, Immunology, Cell biology or related life-sciences discipline;Experience in Biochemistry;Experience in Cell culture;Experience in enzymatic, mitochondrial and metabolic assays;Proficient in English, spoken and written;Good managing skills, and efficiency;A proven track record in research design and execution;Forward thinking, independent, can-do, pro-active attitude;Experience in immunology, flow cytometry and use of animal models will be valued;International experience will be valued.What iMM offers: iMM will offer outstanding working conditions in this area in Portugal, including a full-time contract, starting predictably in September or October 2024, and the possibility to work in the interface of research.
Working Conditions: Unfixed-Term employment contract with an estimated duration of 12 (twelve) months; Annual gross salary of 32.000€, approximately (includes base salary and meal allowance), in accordance with the funding budget and iMM Career By-Law, as well as Holidays and Christmas allowances subject to the current mandatory taxes accordingly to Portuguese Labor Law.

Evaluation Criteria: Applications will be evaluated by Vânia Cardoso, Vanessa Morais and Marc Veldhoen (all PhD'S), in accordance with the following method:
1st Phase: Curricular evaluation (50%) and Motivation Letter (20%);2nd Phase: Interview (30%). The jury will only select for the interview the candidates who score at least 45% in 1st phase.Results: Both admitted and excluded candidates list and final classification list shall be communicated to all admitted candidates through email.
Preliminary Hearing and Final Decision Deadline: After notification, all candidates have 10 working days to respond. Panel's final decisions are pronounced within a period of 90 days, from application deadline.
