Offer Description Work environment:
The Cancer Research Center of Marseille (CRCM) affiliated to Inserm (UMR1068), CNRS (UMR7258) and Aix-Marseille University (UM105) is one of the biggest cancer research centers in France. Its originality is not only due to its location in the heart of the Institut Paoli-Calmettes (IPC) but also to its vocation defined by a continuum in cancer research, from basic research, to translational and clinical research. The REMAP-4Kids team, led by Dr Eddy Pasquier and Prof Nicolas André, aims at developing innovative multidisciplinary approaches to identify and optimize new therapeutic strategies in refractory pediatric cancers . In particular, they use existing drugs as molecular tools to reveal vulnerabilities in tumors of the central and peripheral nervous system.
The agent will be recruited in the "IMAGINe" project, funded by the INCa (High Risk / High Gain). The aim of this project is to explore the intratumoral metabolic heterogeneity and study how it impacts therapeutic response in neuroblastoma, a pediatric cancer of the peripheral nervous system.
Activities: The agent will be responsible for carrying out experiments designed with the researchers involved in the project. The candidate will perform cell culture of neuroblastoma cells in 2D and 3D models. The agent will perform drug screening in close collaboration with the research assistant of the team. The candidate will analyze and summarize the experimental data coming from those drug screening and cell culture including lots of flow cytometry analyses. The candidate will also perform molecular biology assays with western blot and qRT-PCR. Finally, the candidate will be involved in the team organization including protocol procedure writing or by being part of collaborative projects.
Offer: Contract: 12 months – starting early 2025
