Offer Description A motivated and talented postdoctoral researcher will be recruited for a joint French-Swiss project on the development of a novel Water-Cherenkov detector array prototype for the study of cosmic electrons and gamma rays, to be deployed in an alpine lake. The setup will reuse the optical modules of ANTARES neutrino telescope.
The research will include participation in the prototype construction, deployment, operation and data taking as well in data analysis.
The candidate will be integrated in an international French-Swiss team, led by the Astroparticle and Cosmology laboratory in Paris.
Applicants are required to have a PhD degree in physics or astronomy. Experience in development of hardware and/or data taking and data analysis of gamma-ray and neutrino telescopes is welcome.
